<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an authenticity discrimination device of paper sheets by which authenticity discrimination of paper sheets with latent image patterns is attained by a large amount and at high speed by machine inspection by effectively capturing optical transmission characteristics of the latent image patterns. <P>SOLUTION: Presence/absence of the latent image patterns is inspected to discriminate the authenticity of the paper sheets such as securities with the latent image patterns expressing characters and texture by forming rugged line patterns at fixed distances by emboss or watermark to materials and by shifting positions of the rugged line patterns at printing parts of the characters and the texture by extracting characteristics of contrast line patterns obtained when an optical transmission signal is minutely acquired. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
