<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrict the execution of processings, regarding documents by user units. <P>SOLUTION: When it is desired to permit/restrict utilization of services, such as copying, facsimile transmission, scanning provided by an image reading and printing device, regarding a certain document (document to be processed) by user units, restriction information presetting classes of available services or presence/absence of charging for each user is read by the user units (cf. (A)-(D)), the restriction information of the document to be processed is set by changing the service classes or setting utilization start/end (date) or charging the start/end (date), as needed; and the document to be processed added with a mark (such as two-dimensional bar code), representing the restriction information, is printed on a recording paper sheet. When utilization of a service, such as, copying the relevant document is instructed by a specific user, the mark is read to acquire the restriction information, it is determined whether the utilization of the service instructed by the specific user is permitted on the restriction information; and when it is permitted, processing corresponding to the instructed service is carried out. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
