PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform zooming action and photographing action by the operation of a single operation member during underwater photography so as not to miss a moment to take a good photograph. SOLUTION: When a waterproof case is attached to a camera in order to perform the underwater photography, an underwater mode detection device 230 decides that an underwater mode is set, and sets a zoom on/off switch 116 connecting a mode switch detection part 115 and a zoom control part 113 to a cutoff state (off), and also designates a zoom/photography decision part 240 to perform the zooming action and the photographing action only by the operation of a photo-trigger 220.
