PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic transmission for securing sufficient driving force even when additionally pedalling an accelerator during travel in a high speed gear stage. SOLUTION: The automatic transmission comprises a plurality of gear stages, a gear stage selecting means provided on the plurality of gear stages for selecting each of the plurality of gear stages, an actuator for driving the gear stage selecting means, and a control means having a manual mode for controlling the actuator to perform shifting operation. When the gear stage out of the plurality of gear stages, provided on the lower-speed side than the current gear stage and on a different shaft, exists during drive in the manual mode, the control means determines whether greater driving force than current driving force is required or not. If determining that it is required, it distributes driving force to the gear stage on the lower-speed side in addition to the current gear stage. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
