PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing apparatus and an image processing apparatus capable of solving banding or making the banding hardly noticeable generated on a printed image caused by flying bending and density unevenness by appropriately correcting a dither mask used for making image data for a printing object to the N-th order digitization. SOLUTION: The printing apparatus 100 has a constitution comprising a test pattern image printing indicating part 14 for indicating printing of a test pattern image, a density information extracting part 16 for extracting density information from the test pattern image printed by performing the N-th order digitization processing by the dither mask, a scan image data generating part 17 for generating first scan image data from the density information extracted, a banding generating line determining part 18 for determining a banding generating line from the first scan image data, and a dither threshold value revising part 19 for changing and revising a dither threshold value corresponding to the banding generating line to a dither threshold value corresponding to the image line other than the banding generating line.
