PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a building material coated with a coating film containing a functional material, and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: This is a building material which is coated with the coating film containing the functional material having at least one or more kinds of functions among antibiotic and antiviral properties, antiallergenic properties, and deodorant properties, and in which the functional material is entrenched in the coating film by a silane coupling agent.
