PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a desk apparatus with an elevating and lowering top plate, wherein the top plate can be elevated and lowered without interfering with an adjacent top plate even in the case of arranging and installing a plurality of desks side by side and the work of closely installing them so as to prevent the damage of appearance and the obstruction of the effective utilization of space due to a gap formed between the adjacent top plates more than needed is facilitated. SOLUTION: The desk apparatus with the elevating and lowering top plate is constituted so that a movable leg 5 is vertically movably supported at a fixed leg 4 for leg bodies 2 on both sides, a driving mechanism is provided in association with the fixed leg and the movable leg to make it possible to elevate and lower the movable leg, the height of the top plate 1 attached to the upper end of the movable leg is made adjustable, and an end rail 3 is attached between upper end parts on the rear end face of the fixed leg of both leg bodies. Both side end faces of the end rail are protruded to the side from the side end face of the top plate and set, and when closely installing the plurality of desks in a state in which the side end faces of the adjacent end rails are in contact, the gap is formed between the adjacent top plates.
