<p>A vertical panel saw (1) having an openwork structure (2, 3) of pivoted members arranged to define a plane workpiece support surface when in an open condition, an opposite pair (6) of the pivoted members carrying fence means (19) effective to engage a lower edge of a panel workpiece when this is present, and a housing (4) including attachment points for the pivoted members and one or more saw guides located to carry a holder shoe for a powered working tool. This provides a support structure which can be portable and which is sufficiently rigid so as to be able to support a large sheet of wood for cutting.</p> |
