A document holder for office and domestic applications, e.g. to hold reminder notes, has a grip (2) attached to a support plate (6) via a foil hinge and held in the closed position by a spring. The holder is fitted to the upper end of a support stalk (34) set into a base (4). The spring is secured to the grip via retaining profiles.
