It is possible to reduce a data correction amount. Failure detection means (3)detects a block read failure for each predetermined region including the block where the read failure has occurred. When a read failure has occurred, request means (4) requests other computer (6) having a second RAID disc (5) containing the same data as the distributed data to complete the block which cannot be recovered within the first RAID disc (2). Overwrite means (7) receives the block from the computer (6) and overwrites the received block in the block where the read failure has occurred.
