FIELD: forensic medicine. ^ SUBSTANCE: the present innovation deals with forensic investigation of material evidence and could be applied in the practice of forensic experts while examining hair and head lesions. The innovation creates the method for establishing the fact of a blow in scalp with a rib of a metal object. At blow impact of a metal, blunt solid object at restricted surface in scalp at high velocity and interaction with cranial surface one should observe the separation and lesion of hair, fragmentation of hair stems at developing the fragments that remain in the wounds of head. Moreover, the fragments developed after the blows with a rib of a metal object has got the length being less than hair thickness, their ends being with even or step-like surface and an intact stem. Detection and registration of such fragments enable to establish the fact of a blow in scalp with a rib of a metal object. ^ EFFECT: higher accuracy and efficiency. ^ 1 dwg, 2 ex |
