FIELD: preparing of fresh garlic for storage and further usage in space feeding. ^ SUBSTANCE: method involves sequentially extracting biomass of Mortierella pulchella micromycet using non-polar extractant in above-critical state, water, alkali, water, acid, water, alkali, and water; joining first extract with solid residue for producing of preparation from said biomass; sterilizing distilled water, gauze wads and smoking paper; preparing 70%-ethyl alcohol solution and 0.01%-suspension of biomass preparation, using sterilized distilled water as base; inspecting garlic; washing in running sweet water; holding in suspension of biomass preparation at room temperature during 10 min; drying at temperature of 30±5 C until residual moisture content of upper scale is 18-20%; dividing garlic into cloves and wiping each of said cloves with sterilized gauze wad soaked in ethyl alcohol solution; exposing each side of clove to ultraviolet radiation during 30 min at radiation intensity of 1.5-2.5 W/m3; packaging each 5 cloves under aseptic conditions in smoking paper and placing in single layer within sterilized polymer trays. ^ EFFECT: prolonged shelf life of garlic. ^ 1 ex |
