PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor integrated circuit by which an output signal characteristic of a logical circuit can be controlled within a required range and to provide its control method. SOLUTION: The semiconductor integrated circuits 10, 50 are equipped with logical circuits 12_1 to 12_n, 52 which are supplied with a low operating voltage and a high operating voltage to output outputting signals and besides include at least one of first switches 15_1 to 15_n, 27, 55 which supplies the low operating voltage in an on-state and a second switch 57 which supplies the high operating voltage in an on-state. Further, there are provided monitoring circuits 20, 80 which monitor the output signal characteristic directly or indirectly to generate monitoring signals and control signal generating circuits 30, 62, 64 which generate control signals for controlling a resistive value in the on-state of at least one of the switches.
