PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reliability of transmission control information subjected to error correction. SOLUTION: In a demodulation apparatus for demodulating an OFDM signal including TMCC information modulated into an error correction code, an error correcting circuit 48 demodulates the TMCC information to correct an error, and an error correction detecting circuit 49 compares the total number of segments in each of an A layer, a B layer and a C layer which are included in the decoded TMCC information, a modulating rate of a convolutional modulation and a time interleaving length with respective values defined in standards, thereby detecting that the error-corrected TMCC information is not correct.
