PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a universal head device designed so that even when a tilting operation or panning operation is performed, a fixing device is prevented from being unlocked, resulting in detachment of an imaging apparatus. SOLUTION: When a tilt base 70 is rotated in direction A, a slide lock lever 85 comes into contact with a tilt stopper part A66. The tilt base 70 is further rotated, and a locking mechanism section 50 is rotated in direction P relative to the slide lock lever 85. Since the slide fixing groove part 55a of a lock slide plate 55 and the hole 85a of the slide lock lever 85 engage with each other, the lock slide plate 55 is hindered from moving in directions E and F and fixed in position. A locking claw part 52 remains hooked on the locking claw hole 31 of an attachment 30, thereby preventing detachment of a digital camera 20. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
