PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rapidly and efficiently prepare a specimen by removing a component having a molecular weight higher than that of albumin in a high removing ratio in a short treatment time in the preparation of the specimen for performing MS analysis. SOLUTION: In a biocomponent fractionating method for fractionating a biocomponent from a biocomponent containing solution using a separation membrane module, the relation of the formula (1): X/(Y×Z)≥700 is satisfied. In the formula (1), X is the linear flow velocity (cm/s) in the flow direction on the surface of a separation membrane of the supplied biocomponent containing solution, Y is the filtering flow velocity (cm/s) of the separation membrane and Z is the effective length (cm) of the separation membrane module.
