PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure for joining a column and a beam to each other which enables two beams to be easily and surely joined to the upper end of the column and enhances the rigidity of a joint portion by using two joint members for one joint, when the two beams orthogonal to each other are joined to the upper end of the column. SOLUTION: A horizontal plate 1 of a column head fitting 3 the head 2 of which is protrusively provided upward from the one-side half of the horizontal plate 1 is fixed to the top surface of the column 4, so that the head 2 can be protruded upward from the one-side half of the top surface of the column 4. The other-side half on which the head 2 of the horizontal plate 1 is not protrusively provided serves as a beam placing portion 5. An end plate 8 and a joint plate 6 which are provided at the longitudinal end of one beam 7a are superposed on each other and fixed to each other by means of a fixing implement 9. The other beam 7b orthogonal to one beam 7a is placed on the beam placing portion 5 of the column head fitting 3, and fixed to the beam placing portion 5 by means of the fixing implement 9.
