COMMUNICATION SYSTEM, INTERVENING TERMINAL AND INTERVENING PROGRAM

A communication system (1) comprises a database apparatus (2), a client terminal (3), and an intervening terminal (4) that intervenes in communication between the database apparatus (2) and the client terminal (3). These apparatuses (2-4) incorporate agents. When the client terminal (3) wants to acquire some information from the database apparatus (2), it issues an information request to the intervening terminal (4). The intervening terminal (4) then asks the client terminal (3) to provide client information suitable for the contents of the requested information. If the intervening terminal (4) successfully obtains appropriate information from the client terminal (3), then it transfers the request to the database apparatus (2) to obtain the information, which is then transmitted to the client terminal (3) from the intervening terminal (4).
