MEDICAL EQUIPMENT TRANSFER ARRANGEMENT

An arrangement for transferring a post assembly carrying medical equipmen t thereon between first and second support structures. The arrangement inclu des a positioning arm which is supported at one end on the first support str ucture and at the opposite end is configured for supporting the post assembl y. The positioning arm cooperates with a receiver assembly provided on the s econd support structure. A freestanding cart and wheelchair are also provide d which are configured to accept the post assembly from a support structure such as a patient bed, to allow the patient to ambulate with the associated medical equipment.
