A contact tip (36) for a welding torch is provided. In one embodiment, the contact tip (36) includes a body formed of an electrically conductive material and a non-linear passage (44) that extends through the body. The non-linear passage (44) of this embodiment is configured to receive a wire electrode and to facilitate electrical communication between the body and the wire electrode. Various contact tip assemblies including, in particular, a diffuser (34) and a nozzle (26) are also provided.
