<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely perform processing restriction by detecting a specific image without being confused by a similar image even when the similar image that is similar to the specific image, is present in inputted image data. <P>SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus comprises: a specific image discrimination unit 63 which detects the specific image in image data and discriminates whether the specific image is contained in the image data or not on the basis of a threshold value; a threshold value determination unit 64 which changes the threshold value so as not to allow a similar image in a form similar to the specific image to influence the discrimination of the specific image when the similar image is detected; and a control unit 7 which restricts processing to be performed, when the number of detected specific images exceeds the threshold value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
