PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute position measurement of a mobile terminal having less blind spot in a wide range in a state where the number of base stations is small, and to enable position measurement corresponding to necessary precision by selecting the optimum antenna while the number of base stations is small, with respect to a radio positioning system in which a plurality of base stations each receive radio waves emitted from a moving mobile terminal to obtain the position of the mobile terminal. SOLUTION: The system has a plurality of base stations each having a plurality of antennas and a switching mechanism for switching the antennas. The system includes a positioning server with a computing means in which upon receiving a notice of reception times of radio wave from the mobile terminal from each of the base stations when receiving the radio wave from the mobile terminal, the position of the mobile terminal is computed on the basis of the notified reception times; and an antenna switching means in which when the position of the mobile terminal cannot or can be computed based on the reception times, the base station transmits a switching instruction to another antenna, in order to cause the means for receiving the time of radio wave reception from the mobile terminal to re-calculate the reception time.
