PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shift lever device provided with a lock member having robustness against strong operation force from a shift lever and attaining miniaturization. SOLUTION: A bridge part 10 for connecting opposed side walls of a base bracket 2 and a slit 11 formed on the bridge part 10 are provided. The lock member is arranged movably between a locked position where it is inserted to the slit 11 and an unlocked position where it is removed from the slit 11 such that a movement track between the locked position and the unlocked position is perpendicular to a movement track from a parking position of the shift lever 3 to a reverse position. The shift lever device is provided with an interfering part penetrating through the slit 11 at the locked position and retained on the movement track from the parking position of the shift lever 3 to the reverse position.
