The system has a mobile breathing module (1) provided for connection with a patient (20), where the breathing module has a respiration system with a breathing drive (3), electrical energy unit (5) and a data memory with a control unit. Stationary parts (2) are provided for detachably attaching the breathing module. A check valve is arranged in an inspiration sector of the respiration system. The inspiration sector and an expiration sector have a detachable connection interface for data, electrical energy and inhaled gas attached to the stationary parts receiving the breathing module.
