<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a door handle for a vehicle which can detect with accuracy the approach and contact of a user's hand associated with operation of the door handle provided to a door for a vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: The door handle for the vehicle is provided to the door for the vehicle, and is operated at the time of open/close operation of the door for the vehicle by the user of the vehicle. The door handle for the vehicle is provided with an ultrasonic-wave transmitting means 2, an ultrasonic-wave receiving means 3, and a detection means 4. The ultrasonic-wave transmitting means 2 transmits an ultrasonic-wave toward the door panel of the door for the vehicle, the ultrasonic-wave receiving means 3 receives a reflected wave S2 of a transmitted wave S1 transmitted from the ultrasonic-wave transmitting means 2, and the detection means 4 for detecting the operation of the door handle for the vehicle by the user based on the transmitted wave S1 and the reflected wave S2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
