<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source device with low heat generation and long life, as well as a projector with the device. <P>SOLUTION: The projector includes the light source device 411. The light source device 411 includes a reflector 415, a support member 416, and a light-emitting part 418. The reflector 415 is structured of ellipsoid reflectors. The support member 416 is provided along a light axis of the reflector 415. The light-emitting part 418 includes an LED 419R, LED 419G, LED 419B, and LED 419W. Each LED 419 is supported by the support member 416 so that a normal line N at the center of light-emitting face of each LED 419 crosses the light axis L of the reflector 415, and is on a plane S including a first focal point in the reflector 415.
