DICTIONARY REGISTRATION DEVICE, DICTIONARY REGISTRATION METHOD, AND DICTIONARY REGISTRATION PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a user who does not know a translation in a second language to easily register a text in a first language and the translation of the text in the second language in association with each other in dictionary information.

SOLUTION: A dictionary registration device comprises: a dictionary database for storing a dictionary table wherein Japanese words and their English translation are associated and registered; an input part for inputting a Japanese sentence; an unregistered word extraction part for extracting an unregistered word from the input Japanese sentence when the inputted sentence includes the unregistered word that is not registered in the dictionary table; an expression input part for inputting a text of similar expression expressing the extracted unregistered text with a different text from the unregistered word; a translation part for translating the inputted text of similar expression into English; and a registration part for registering the unregistered text and the text as the translation of the similar expression in association with each other.
