<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve just-in-time publication which immediately reflects an instruction for temporary delivery stop (abandonment, preservation, transfer) from a reader of a daily publication to a stock, and to perform temporary delivery stops of a plurality of publications from a plurality of publishers at the same time without performing individual processing at the respective publishers in just-in-time publication. <P>SOLUTION: A periodical publication order reception/placement EDI system consolidates communication lines/communication devices/wide-use shared functions independently and individually prepared among publishers, printing offices and transportation companies as a periodical publication order reception/placement EDI system, and shares and cooperates processing/database necessary for printing/transportation. The EDI system is connected with sales management systems of the plurality of publishers to construct a wide-use and shared printing/transportation instruction function.
