PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner having high resistance to mechanical stress and capable of ensuring satisfactory fixability in a wide temperature range. SOLUTION: In the toner, a resin component is mainly made up of a polyester resin. The polyester resin contains a block polyester mainly made up of a block copolymer and an amorphous polyester having lower crystallinity than the block polyester. The block polyester has a crystalline block obtained by condensing an alcohol component and a carboxylic acid component and an amorphous block having lower crystallinity than the crystalline block. The weight average molecular weight Mw(B) of the block polyester and the weight average molecular weight Mw(A) of the amorphous polyester satisfy the relationship of 0.5≤Mw(B)/Mw(A)<4 and the weight average molecular weight Mw(B) is 1×10<SP>4</SP>≤Mw(B)<4×10<SP>4</SP>.
