PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To exhibit, when a PC terminal connected is not used in a server device of a thin client system, sufficient performance for processing responding to another PC terminal without maintaining a high-load state. SOLUTION: When "general operation mode" is switched to "waiting mode" by a mode selection switch 24S of a client terminal 20a in a state where client terminals 20a and 20b or the like are authenticated and connected to the server device 10, a work area secured on a main memory 12 corresponding to the client terminal 20a is opened except only a storage area of storage data thereof, and periodic monitoring processing for responding to task switching, interruption or the like from the client terminal 20a is suspended, whereby release of software resources corresponding to the terminal 20a is performed to allow only reading of generated and stored display image data.
