PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a material being easily produced, having a high leukocyte adsorption rate and selectively removing granulocyte/monocyte. SOLUTION: This blood component processing material includes a fiber formed by introducing compound which includes alkylene glycol having a recurring unit of 40 or more or an alkylene glycol residue and/or polyvinyl alcohol having a recurring unit of 1,700 or more, on the fiber surface composed of a hydrophobic polymer.
