<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ranking server, which can suppress initial costs and operation costs and can collect use requests for the same content existing in a plurality of locations. <P>SOLUTION: Images 4, 5 as content are actually stored in content servers 6, 7, respectively. The ranking server 1 stores meta data, on the images 4, 5, indicating what kind of images are the images 4, 5, meta data such as temporary URL 4s, 5s, and thumbnails. A ranking site 2 searches for the meta data as a search object and the search results are arranged in the descending order of the number of downloads and displayed. In the ranking server 1, guidance to the temporary URL 4s, 5s is performed by a link not only when making a download request from actual URL 4u, 5u but also when a user 14 makes a download request in the ranking site 2, and the ranking server 1 totalizes the number of the downloads. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
