<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To store high temperature water in a hot water storage tank by using an internal heat exchanger of high heat exchange efficiency with a less radiation loss. <P>SOLUTION: The heat pump hot water supply apparatus connecting a compressor 11, a radiator 12, an expansion valve 13 and an evaporator 14 by piping, is provided with the internal heat exchanger 30 exchanging heat between a high pressure refrigerant flowing out of the radiator 12 and a low pressure refrigerant flowing out of the evaporator 14, and stores hot water heated by the radiator 12, in the hot water storage tank 21. The internal heat exchanger 30 comprises a first heat transfer tube 31 through which the high pressure refrigerant in a supercritical area flows, and a second heat transfer tube 32 through which the low pressure refrigerant flows.
