<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a gas sensor and the gas sensor, which reduces the generation of a crack in a solid electrolyte caused by a dispersion in a thickness of an insulator, when burnt or aged, and a ratio of generating short circuiting between lead parts. <P>SOLUTION: Alumina is applied to bring an applied thickness of the alumina in the vicinity of the lead parts 24, 33 and the lead parts 34, 44 faced each other, into 1/6.5 (50 μm) of a thickness (325 μm) of each green sheet, when the green sheets 2, 3, 4 are layered (not shown in figure). The application of the alumina by this manner reduces the generation of cracks in the green sheets 2, 3, 4 caused by a dispersion in an applied thickness of the alumina, when burnt or aged, and the ratios of generating the short circuiting between the lead parts 24, 33, and between the lead parts 34, 44. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
