<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power system monitoring device which can assure both reliability by duplicating computers and operability for operations from both an operation room and a training room, and its method. <P>SOLUTION: The power system monitoring device comprises: computers each receiving a state amount of a power system, to output display information and alarm information; an alarm output device and system monitoring boards 25, 35 which are arranged at preset locations 1 to N for monitoring the power system; and a communication network 20 for connecting the computer, the alarm output device and the system monitoring boards. The computers 6, 7 and 8 obtain the system information as the state amount of the power system, generate the display information to the system monitoring boards, and the alarm information to alarm output devices 22, 32, and transmit output information including the display information and the alarm information to destinations set by operators.
