PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase stability of a liquid crystal television receiver on a stand for display device which supports the liquid crystal television receiver. SOLUTION: The stand has a column portion 2 where the liquid crystal television receiver 3 is supported, and a pedestal portion 4 is detachably coupled to the lower side of the column portion 2. The pedestal portion 4 is freely extended along the depth. Consequently, the stability of the liquid crystal television receiver 3 against an earthquakes and external forces can be increased. Even when the liquid crystal television receiver is changed from a floor placed type to a wall hung type and then used, the liquid crystal television receiver can be used effectively; while the stand 1 for display device is fitted, as is.
