<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display equipped with an electromagnetic induction type touch panel, capable of preventing erroneous detection from being generated, and capable of detecting a touch panel area with high reliability. <P>SOLUTION: This liquid crystal display is provided with an electromagnetic pen 15 for touching a touch face comprising a face in an observation side of a liquid crystal display element, and a sensor substrate arranged in a side opposite to the observation side of the liquid crystal display element, and provided with a plurality of sensors for receiving a magnetic field from the electromagnetic pen to generate an induction current, and the electromagnetic pen 15 is constituted of a pen body 16, a movable shaft 17 provided inside the pen body 16 movably along a longitudinal direction thereof, having a pen tip part 18 for touching the touch face in its tip, pressed by a coil spring 24 along a direction to project the pen tip part 18 from the tip of the pen body 16, and pressed in along a pen body inner direction by the pressing of the pen tip part 18 onto the touch face, a magnetic field generation coil 19 provided in the vicinity of the tip of the pen body 16, and a driving part 20 provided inside the pen body 16, and turned on by the press-in of the movable shaft 17 to supply an excitation current to the magnetic field generation coil 19. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
