SYSTEM, APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DOCUMENT MANAGEMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to record/track multiple versions of a document wherein one or more of the versions of the document are scanned versions of an edited hardcopy of the document.

SOLUTION: The method comprises: (a) a step for receiving a scanned version of the edited hardcopy of a document from an image capture device, (b) a step for uploading the scanned version of the edited hardcopy of the document to an electronic database, linking the scanned version of the hardcopy of the document to a previous electronic version of the document in the database as an update of the previous electronic version; and (c) a step for maintaining a grouping of a plurality of electronic versions of the document in the database.
