PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data erasing device which can prevent data recovery and is high in security. SOLUTION: This is a method of erasing data on a write-once medium that can write data only once in a manner possible to write once and has a data storage area to record the recording object data and a management area to record the data to manage the stored data on the medium.
