PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotation detection device and its manufacturing method, having excellent waterproofness and excellent durability, capable of absorbing a thermal expansion difference caused by an environmental temperature or self-heat generation from a sensor component, avoiding damage of the sensor component even when a vibration or an external force is applied thereto, and reducing manufacturing cost. SOLUTION: This device equipped with a fixing metal fitting 21 comprising a metal for positioning a sensor 4 and a peripheral component, and a fixing member 25 for fixing integrally the sensor 4 and the fixing metal fitting 21, is formed by performing integral molding of the sensor 4, the peripheral component, the fixing metal fitting 21 and the fixing member 25, in the covered state with a thermoplastic elastomer or a material showing rubber elasticity.
