PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To specify easily a failure portion in case of a failure, and to perform a maintenance/replacement work quickly and easily. SOLUTION: This detector is equipped with a suction part 8 for sucking the outside air; a detection part 50 for detecting smoke particles from the sucked outside air; a casing 31 for allowing the sucked outside air to pass; a filter part 30 having a filter 34 for removing dust in the outside air in the casing; a circuit part for performing processing necessary for smoke detection; and a casing 20 for storing the suction part, the detection part, the filter part and the circuit part. The detector wherein the suction part, the detection part and the filter part are unitized detachably individually from the casing is also equipped with electrical connection means 101-104 capable of connecting the suction part, the detection part and the filter part individually to the circuit part.
