METHOD OF SCREENING SUBSTANCE FOR SUPPRESSING IRRITATION DUE TO PARABENS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for screening substance for controlling irritation due to parabens, using a simple technique for obtaining an external preparation that contains parabens and is hypoallergic. SOLUTION: The method for screening a substance for controlling irritation due to parabens comprises adding of a test subject and parabens to cells transformed with a TRPA1 (tansient receptor potential A1) gene and measuring the changes in the calcium concentration in the cells.
