A torque rod for a vehicle is provided to reinforce its strength and stiffness by making a cover bracket member of steel instead of aluminum. A torque rod for a vehicle comprises a bush assembly(51), a bush rod(52), front and rear bushes(53,54), and a cover bracket member(55). The bush assembly is attached to an engine and a transmission assembly. The bush rod is attached to the bush assembly at one end and integrally attached to an intermediate partition(52a). The intermediate partition is sandwiched between front and rear bushes and integrally attached to the bush rod. The cover bracket member includes a bush housing(55a) and a flange(55b). Both front and rear bushes are forcedly inserted into the bushing housing. The cover bracket member is coupled to a cross member of a suspension via the flange. The cover bracket member is made of steel.
