<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change a function of an outdoor heat exchanger without impairing the air conditioning performance of an indoor unit operated in a state that the cooling and heating are mixed. <P>SOLUTION: The indoor units 2a, 2b perform the cooling operation, and the indoor unit 2c performs the heating operation. When a small heat exchanger 12b of the outdoor unit 1 is functioned as a condenser, the indoor unit 2b is operated to change to the heating operation. In a case when the small heat exchanger 12 is changed to the function of an evaporator, an unused large heat exchanger 12a is temporarily used for the function of the evaporator during the switching of the small heat exchanger 12b to the evaporator. Whereby the small heat exchanger 12b is switched from the function of the condenser to the function of the evaporator without impairing the air conditioning performance of the indoor units 2a, 2b, 2c. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
