Peak-to-average power reduction technique

A technique for reducing peak-to-average power ratio in a composite signal includes an M-algorithm approach. A plurality of rotation factors are selected. At least some of the plurality of sub-carriers of the composite signal are modified using at least one of the rotation factors for each modified sub-carrier. The M-algorithm approach allows for determining which of the rotation factors to use for modifying each of the modified sub-carriers.
