A working oil filter device for a continuously variable transmission (12) including a primary pulley (14) and a secondary pulley (16), between which a belt (17) is made to run. The filter device comprises: a secondary pressure adjust valve (51) for adjusting the pulley groove width thereof; a clutch pressure adjust valve (57) for adjusting the clutch pressure; and a filter (84) for filtering the working oil. The device can comprise a primary pressure adjust valve (52), in place of the clutch pressure adjust valve .
