<p>The seal (6) has a rectangular cross-sectional surface when the seal is designed as a flat seal. The seal is provided with a conical tapered surface when the seal is designed as a volume seal. The seal is made of metals such as tin, lead, indium, gold, copper or aluminum, and alloys of the metals. The seal is pressed between two parallel flat surfaces by pressing force in a hollow cavity. A center cone (9) and a flange are provided in the seal. An independent claim is also included for a method for producing a metal seal.</p> |
