The drink bottle 10 has a first compartment 12, a second compartment 14 and a lid 40. The first compartment 12 defines a cavity 30 in which a consumable beverage may be stored. The plate 64 is rotatable between a position where the channels 66 form passageways between the first 12 and second 14 compartments and a position where the first 12 and second 14 compartments are separated. The first compartment 12 defines a cavity 30 adapted to hold a consumable beverage. The first compartment 12 consists of an inner panel and an outer panel, which in combination form a cavity for the receipt of a thermal energy storage medium 28, such as a gel, such that the bottle 10 is adapted to heat or cool the beverage contained therein.
