The board has a rigid element (1) with a plate (2) placed on an upper protection and decoration layer (11), and push through portions (3) extending below the plate forming a visible portion. The plate is mounted on a unit made of polymer material e.g. compressible foam. The element has pins (16) located below and at the level of a lower surface of a polymer reinforcement layer (12) of an upper assembly (10). The pins form a stop cooperating with the surface to block the layers between a plate's lower surface and the stop to prevent the displacement of the element with respect to the assembly. An independent claim is also included for a method for fabricating an upper assembly for a sliding board.
