The malfunction informing device for a vehicle comprises a detecting section (2) for detecting the state of the operator (10) or the traveling state of the vehicle (20) during traveling as a predetermined state, a section (4) for judging a possible abnormal state based on the detection results from the detecting section (2), and a shaking section (8) for applying a vibration of predetermined pattern to the operator (10) in the case of an abnormal state, wherein the shaking section (8) can apply a vibration while varying the vibration pattern when the abnormal state continues.
